日本のオオスズメバチは世界最大の蜂。

最近、アメリカ大陸に侵入したということで話題となっていますね。

俗称Murder Hornet（殺人バチ）と呼ばれて恐れられています。あちらには本家の殺人バチことキラービーがいるんですが、実はかなり名前負けのやつらで中身はセイヨウミツバチ。日本のオオスズメバチと比べるまでもありません。

The Japanese giant hornet is the largest bee in the world. It’s been talked about recently because it invaded the Americas. It is dreaded by the so-called Murder Hornet. There is a killer bee, the killer bee of the original family, but in fact, those guys whose names are quite defeated are the honeybees. Not to mention the comparison with the Japanese giant hornet.

そんなオオスズメバチがブンブン飛んでいる木を発見したので、近くまで寄ってみました。

すると木の上からバサっとなにか落ちてきた！？

クワガタか？

チェックすると、なんとオオスズメバチでした。

観察していると、全く飛ばずにてくてくと地面を歩いています。

I found a tree with such a giant hornet flying around, so I stopped by. Then something fell down from the top of the tree! ? Stag? When I checked, it was a big hornet. When observing, I walked on the ground without flying at all.

樹液を吸いすぎて体が重くて飛べないのか？

一般的なイメージのオオスズメバチとは違い、かなり温厚なやつでした。

とか調子こいて、こういうことをしていたらいつか刺されるんだろうなぁ。。。

過去にキイロスズメバチ x 2、アシナガバチ x 2、ミツバチ x 1に刺された経験があり。アシナガやミツバチはチクっと痛かった記憶しかありませんが、キイロスズメバチに刺された箇所は肉が毒で溶けたようでケロイドっぽくなっています。毒の強さは全く別物ですね。

クワガタ取りではよく遭遇すると思いますが、気をつけましょう！
